Embodying the DIY spirit, the singer/ songwriter and producer Franco’s Pain aka Zion Elijah Dere taught himself how to play a variety of instruments (guitar, bass, and piano) in 2018. The music Zion creates is undeniably youthful and isn’t bound to one specific genre. He effortlessly swerves between gentle synth-heavy grooves, twinkling melodies, hazy vocals with a funky twist, and sometimes also puts forth a punk-rap hybrid that is unmatched. Tapping into a variety of genres, Franco creates his own take and blends them thoroughly into his own sound. 2022 will see Franco’s pain take on various projects such as multiple new releases, a new band and kick-starting the release of his new label.
